Come to class on Thursday, February 25th with your revised annotated bibliography. This revision is an opportunity to increase your score. If you did not turn in an original annotated bibliography, this is your opportunity to get a partial score for the assignment.

For Thurs/Fri, I want you to annotate the passage taken from chapter 6 that you have been given. As you are annotating, look for:

• connections to what you have learned in US History
• Twain’s philosophical position based on Pap’s words
• example of satire-elements of humor and for what purpose?
• what aspect of the 1800 society is represented through Pap?

When finished, turn it over and write a 250 word response to the selection and compose ONE multiple choice question about the passage, complete with 3 wrong answers and 1 right, circled.
