Come to class on Thursday, February 25th with your revised annotated bibliography. This revision is an opportunity to increase your score. If you did not turn in an original annotated bibliography, this is your opportunity to get a partial score for the assignment.

Homework for Wed/Thurs-find 3 things:
1.    map of Mississippi River
2.    1 fact about the Mississippi
3.    1 fact about Mark Twain
Format information as an annotated bibliography-properly formatted with sources documented and a short paragraph describing the information you got from that source. You will need to include a copy of the map you found and remember, cite all 3 sources.

Use your annotated bibliography from the project for a reminder of formatting, or feel free to come before or after school on Tuesday for support.

For Tues/Wed, I want you to annotate the passage taken from chapter 6 that you have been given. As you are annotating, look for:

• connections to what you have learned in US History
• Twain’s philosophical position based on Pap’s words
• example of satire-elements of humor and for what purpose?
• what aspect of the 1800 society is represented through Pap?

When finished, turn it over and write a 250 word response to the selection and compose ONE multiple choice question about the passage, complete with 3 wrong answers and 1 right, circled.
